What visitors say about Pena Palace

"Lovely to see, we paid for the park tickets only and walked around the grounds. We enjoyed walking up to the cross to see the palace from a distance. Not our favourite palace in Sintra but worth a visit."

"We loved this place! We walked from the Sintra train station for about 1 hour between the Sintra park which was amazing. The climbing is not so hard, stairs or just trails, everything is moist and green so you have no reason to be scared of this."
Florin A.
March 2026
"We visited just the grounds not the palace itself but throughly enjoyed ourselves. We decided to walk up from the historic centre rather than get the bus, it took us just over an hour but went through some lovely gardens. Take the path by Villa Sassetti and it will take you all the way to the top!"
